At Integrative Wellness, we believe yoga is so much more than physical exercise. It is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and create space for healing—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
My personal practice and teaching are deeply rooted in Hatha and Yin Yoga, integrating traditional yogic philosophy with my education in human anatomy, physiology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and modern understandings of neuroscience.
Ancient wisdom and modern science have much to teach us about the connection between mind and body.
Through intentional movement, mindful breathing, meditation, and stillness, yoga encourages us to become more aware of our bodies and how we respond to the world around us.
From a neuroscience perspective, practices such as slow breathing, mindful movement, and meditation can help support nervous system regulation, reduce stress, and strengthen interoception—our ability to recognize and understand the sensations within our own bodies.
Hatha Yoga invites us to explore the relationship between breath, movement, strength, and stability. Yin Yoga encourages us to slow down, soften, and become comfortable with stillness. Together, they offer a beautiful balance of effort and ease.
But yoga is not simply about flexibility, strength, or mastering a posture.
It's about learning to listen.
To recognize when we're holding tension. To notice how our breath changes with stress. To become aware of our thoughts without being consumed by them. And to develop a deeper understanding of what our bodies and minds need.
Rooted in yogic philosophy, this practice also invites self-reflection, compassion, mindfulness, and spiritual exploration. Spirituality doesn't have to mean following a particular belief system. It can simply mean developing a deeper connection with yourself, your values, and the world around you.
While my own teaching emphasizes Hatha and Yin, our wonderful community of teachers brings a variety of yoga styles, experiences, and perspectives to the studio. Each offers a unique opportunity to explore movement, breath, and self-awareness in a way that resonates with you.
Whether you're looking to build strength, improve mobility, manage stress, explore the deeper philosophy of yoga, or simply find a quiet moment in a busy world, there is a place for you here.
You don't need to be flexible. You don't need experience. You don't need to arrive with any particular expectation.
You only need to come as you are.
My intention has always been to create more than a yoga studio. I want Integrative Wellness to be a welcoming, inclusive space where people feel safe to explore, learn, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
Because yoga isn't just something we do on the mat. It's something we learn to carry into our everyday lives.
Come for the movement. Stay for the connection. Discover what yoga can mean for you.
